Studying at a prestigious university in the United States is closer than it seems for Argentine students. Whether you are a high school student preparing for your undergraduate studies or a professional seeking a graduate program, specialization, or even just English language improvement.
On Tuesday, September 3, with the support of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Argentina, the 2024 edition of the EducationUSA fair will take place.
During this event, high school students, university students, and professionals will have access to updated and comprehensive information about admissions processes, program requirements, costs, and financial aid options for universities and scholarships in the United States.
Attendees will also explore the wide range of undergraduate degrees, master’s and doctoral programs, English courses, and short-term academic programs offered by participating U.S. institutions.
The fair will gather 24 universities and colleges from the United States, allowing students to speak directly with representatives from these institutions as well as with EducationUSA advisors, who will be available to answer questions about studying in the U.S.
Admission requirements depend on the program selected. For undergraduate studies, students must have completed high school and provide a series of required documents. For graduate programs, applicants need to submit their bachelor’s degree, academic transcripts, and supporting documents.
For extension courses and English programs, requirements are usually minimal. Emilce Ruiz, EducationUSA advisor and coordinator of the event, explains: “For anyone interested in these programs, the fair is the best place to get accurate guidance and support.”

The fair will also feature booths and informational talks from the U.S. Embassy, the Fulbright Commission for academic exchanges and scholarships, and ICANA. EducationUSA advisors will provide personalized guidance on preparing strong applications.
According to Open Doors, the official source for student mobility in the United States, 55% of international students in the 2022/23 academic year chose STEM fields—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Among the most popular subjects for Argentine students are:
“This top 3 is no coincidence,” Ruiz adds. “The United States not only offers advanced technology for development in these fields but its universities are also at the forefront of innovation, thanks to abundant technological resources.”
With opportunities like EducationUSA and strong support from the United States Embassy in Argentina, Argentine students can take their first steps toward world-class education, exploring options that open doors to innovation, career growth, and global networking.
