Argentine football superstar Messi, captain of the national team and current Inter Miami CF player, is making waves off the field as well.

His Spanish real estate company, Edificio Rostower, officially debuted on the European Portfolio Stock Exchange, with a total market value estimated at €223.2 million. Messi serves as the company’s president, while his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, holds the position of first vice president.

The stock was launched with a reference price of €57.4 per share. Most of the company’s assets are located in Catalunya, where Messi lived for over two decades until leaving FC Barcelona in 2021.

The portfolio includes six MiM hotels managed by Majestic in Andorra, Baqueira, Ibiza, Mallorca, Sitges, and Sotogrande, plus one more property in Vall d’Aran.

In addition, the company owns a six-story building in Barcelona with offices and retail spaces, a 2,500-square-meter warehouse in Sitges currently leased to a supermarket chain, and a restaurant in Castelldefels, where Messi and his family once lived.

Other high-value properties include holdings in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Castelldefels, Cala Tarida, Paris, and London. This diversified portfolio underscores Messi’s strategy to professionalize his hotel and real estate investments.

Messi: Investment and Growth

The goal of the socimi is to centralize and optimize management of these assets. In Spain, these types of companies benefit from favorable tax treatment, paying only 1% in corporate tax as long as they distribute at least 80% of profits as dividends.

The board of Edificio Rostower also includes Alfonso Nebot, who manages Messi’s family wealth office and serves as second vice president, and economist Ramón Adell, a Naturgy advisor.

The company officially became a socimi last December, marking a new chapter in the global icon’s business career. With this move, Lionel Messi strengthens his ties to Spain and further establishes himself as a global business figure, showing that his influence extends far beyond the football pitch.
