The U.S. government launches the Golden Trump Card, a fast-track immigration pathway allowing foreigners to obtain residency by paying $1 million.

Trump Unveils ‘Golden Trump Card,’ a Fast-Track Path to U.S. Residency for a $1 Million Fee

The government of the United States has officially introduced the new Golden Trump Card, an accelerated immigration pathway that allows foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency by paying $1 million, or enables companies to sponsor a foreign worker for $2 million.

President Donald Trump announced the program on Wednesday during a roundtable event at the White House, calling it a “historic opportunity” to modernize the U.S. immigration system.

The official website, trumpcard.gov, went live Wednesday afternoon, providing access to the application system and promising “U.S. residency in record time.”

According to the site, applicants must pay a $15,000 processing fee to the Department of Homeland Security and complete a background check. After approval, individuals can make a $1 million contribution to receive expedited U.S. residency under the new program.

Once the required documentation is submitted, processing will take only “weeks” and will include a mandatory interview, the website notes. Additional Department of State fees may apply depending on the applicant’s nationality and visa category.

“The applicant must attend an interview and submit any additional documentation promptly,” the site states.

Approved applicants will receive lawful permanent residency through an EB-1 or EB-2 visa classification—both employment-based categories reserved for people with “extraordinary” or “exceptional” abilities.

The administration argues that this new pathway will attract the world’s “most accomplished individuals,” streamlining what it considers an outdated immigration system.

The Trump Administration Also Announces the ‘Platinum Trump Card’

In addition to the Golden Card, the administration is preparing to launch the Platinum Trump Card, a premium version of the program. For $5 million, eligible foreign nationals would be able to spend up to 270 days in the U.S. without being subject to U.S. income taxes on earnings generated abroad.

The website encourages interested applicants to join a waiting list ahead of the official launch.

“Foreign nationals can sign up now and secure a place on the waiting list for the ‘Platinum Trump Card.’ Upon launch, and after paying a $15,000 DHS processing fee and a $5 million contribution, they will be able to spend up to 270 days in the United States without being subject to U.S. taxes on foreign-generated income,” the website explains.

This latest shift in immigration policy comes as the Trump administration continues to restrict most forms of legal and illegal entry into the country, following heightened national security concerns after an attack on two National Guard members in Washington.

Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce, stated in February that the new visa would modify the long-standing EB-5 immigrant investor program, which allows foreigners to invest in U.S. job-creating projects in exchange for residency. “We are going to modify the EB-5 framework,” Lutnick said.

“The Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and I are working together on this. For $5 million, applicants will obtain a license from the Commerce Department and then make an appropriate investment.”

Legal experts have noted that significantly changing or eliminating the EB-5 program would likely require congressional involvement. Despite questions about implementation, Trump has suggested that “millions of Golden Cards” could be sold, while Lutnick.
