Singapore has once again been ranked as the safest country in the world, according to the 2025 Global Security Report by Gallup, marking the twelfth time the city-state has received this recognition since 2006. 

The report highlights that in 2024, 98% of Singapore residents felt safe walking alone at night, one of the highest figures recorded globally.

The sense of security remains consistent across genders, with 98% of men and 97% of women reporting feeling protected in their daily environment.

Key factors establishing Singapore as a leader in security include low crime rates, the efficiency and professionalism of law enforcement, and a robust public order system. Urban planning, well-lit streets, and constant surveillance further contribute to a safe and reliable environment. 

This island nation in Southeast Asia, located south of the Malay Peninsula between Malaysia and Indonesia, combines high urban density with strict security policies that maintain public confidence.

Continuous improvements in infrastructure and crime-prevention technology reinforce its reputation as a global benchmark in citizen protection and safety.
