Jon Rahm claims the LIV Golf season title in Saudi Arabia through consistency, earning $64 million despite not winning a single tournament this year.
Jon Rahm shone again in LIV Golf, taking the season finale in Indianapolis thanks to his consistency, even though he didn’t win any of the 13 tournaments played.
The Spanish golfer secured his second consecutive championship in the Saudi Arabia circuit, proving that steady performance can outweigh individual victories. His win translates into an impressive payout, raising his earnings to $64 million in just two seasons.
The final spectacle unfolded in Westfield, where Rahm delivered an extraordinary round with nine birdies and an eagle, overtaking Chilean Joaquín Niemann in the tournament’s last moments.
Niemann, who won five titles during the season, couldn’t stop the Spaniard’s comeback, as Rahm seized every opportunity to stay strong in the overall standings.
Rahm’s success relied on his consistency throughout the year. Although he didn’t claim an individual victory in Indianapolis, his second-place finish behind Colombian Sebastián Muñoz was enough to secure the overall title.
This result earned him an additional $15.5 million and reinforced his position as one of the highest-paid players in LIV Golf.
Points for ranking and elegance
Arriving at the tournament with 196.16 points in the overall standings, Rahm trailed Niemann’s 208.43 points. His mission was clear: perform well in the final event and hope for Niemann to stumble.
The combination of Rahm’s stellar round and Niemann’s result was decisive, allowing Rahm to clinch the final championship with 226.16 points versus Niemann’s 223.66, repeating his second-place overall finish, as he did in 2024.
Even without an individual tournament win, Rahm showed that consistency and strategy in Saudi Arabia are as valuable as victories.
His meticulous approach and ability to maintain high performance in each event enabled him to claim his second consecutive LIV Golf title and solidify his status as one of the circuit’s standout players.
In just two seasons, Rahm has accumulated $64 million in prize money, reflecting both his talent and the financial strength of the Saudi league. His achievement demonstrates that LIV Golf has become a significant stage for the world’s top golfers, where consistency and steady performance can lead to overall triumph, even without winning individual tournaments.
