Seattle Seahawks return to glory and win their second Super Bowl

The Seattle Seahawks captured a historic victory by winning Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

With a complete and authoritative performance, Seattle defeated the New England Patriots 29–13 and lifted the second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history, eleven years after their first championship.

Their defense, nicknamed the “Dark Side,” controlled the tempo and shut down New England’s offense, recalling the dominance of the famed “Legion of Boom.” Rookie quarterback Drake Maye struggled under constant pressure and never found a consistent rhythm.

Offensively, Seattle relied heavily on the ground game. Running back Kenneth Walker led the way with 135 rushing yards on 27 carries, consistently breaking through the Patriots’ defensive line and keeping the chains moving.

His performance allowed the Seahawks to dominate time of possession and dictate the pace of the game.

Quarterback Sam Darnold delivered a composed and efficient outing in his first season with Seattle. He threw for 202 yards and one touchdown, completing a remarkable comeback story after leaving Minnesota and securing his first NFL championship.

Myers played a crucial role, converting all five of his field goal attempts. In doing so, he set a new record for most field goals in a Super Bowl and capped off an outstanding season in which he scored 206 points, a franchise record.

New England attempted to rally late, with Maye throwing two touchdown passes in the final stages, but the deficit proved too large. The Seahawks’ defense held firm, sealing a decisive victory.

With this win, the Seahawks joined the exclusive group of franchises with multiple Super Bowl titles. Eleven years after their first championship, Seattle once again stood atop the football world, confirming their place among the modern NFL elite.
